Everybody Can Do Something

Everybody can do something to help bring an end to puppy mills! We received the following message and wanted to share:

“I’ve found this happens quite often lately, especially when I wear a Harley shirt, but today I actually drew a crowd! I was in the grocery store shopping, and saw a couple that had a cute Pomeranian in the woman’s purse in the cart. People were stopping and oohing and awing about how cute the dog was. I went up to them and politely asked questions about the dog, including where they got it. The woman told me from an online breeder… they paid $3,000 for the dog! Well, you know where it went from there. I had no idea how they would respond to the knowledge I was giving them, but they were actually very open and wanted to know more. I got very emotional talking about Harley as I spoke and pointed to my shirt. Next thing I knew, more people were standing around me listening and started asking questions. I began writing down Harley’s website address and passing it out to everyone. I ended up talking for about 45 minutes and drew a crowd of about a dozen people! I think the people in the grocery store were wondering what the heck was going on, but a few of them came over and were asking questions too.

“When I got home and told my (homebound) son what happened, he was so excited! Since he rarely is able to leave the house, he is always after me to wear my Harley shirts and never miss any opportunity to ‘educate’ someone. It’s not easy for me, but honestly, it’s getting easier. I do it for my son, and I do it for Harley and for all the mill dogs.” -Darla

  3. Judy, I would be honoured if you would allow me to design some business cards and get them printed so that everyone can carry them so they may hand out to those interested in Harley’s legacy.
